The Quebec Produce Growers Association is a volunteer group of over 400 business people, including 100 or so affiliated members and 300 produce growers responsible for growing over 80 % of Québec's fresh produce.

The AJMQ fosters the development of Québec's horticultural sector and promotes fruits and vegetables grown in Quebec, both on the domestic and foreign markets.

The AJMQ also manages two markets: the Place des producteurs (wholesale) and the Marché des jardiniers (retail) in La Prairie.
